Kenner is home to the Louis Armstrong New Orleans International Airport which provides a user-friendly environment that welcomes millions of travelers each year from around the world to the metropolitan area. A Kenner Tourism Event Fund exists to fund tourism projects within the City of Kenner that positively impact Kenner's economy and exhibit tourism potential. These funds are for events that generate hotel room nights, day visitors, and marketing to increase awareness of the destination. The mall features over 100 stores including anchor stores Macy's and Target, an extensive food court, and rejuvenation stations throughout the mall.
