Open to the public on Saturdays only - tickets available at the Planetarium Box Office located at 2020 Fourth Street, 10:45 a.m.-3:00 p.m. A 16 block historic district; Museums, Heritage Park, MegaDome Cinema, Planetarium/Laser Shows, and Theater. Kenner's colorful cultural history is celebrated in a replicated village of days gone by in the beautiful Heritage Park. Stroll down beautifully landscaped walkways, past buildings such as a turn-of-the-century packing shed, ice house, a traditional blacksmith shop, and a 1930's era gas station. The newest additions to the site are a pond and covered bridge adjacent to the replica of St. Mary's Church, the first church in Kenner. At the Space Science Complex in Rivertown find an exhilarating world of science at your fingertips in a recently renovated facility dedicated to science and space. Visitors can experience exciting scientific discovery with dynamic hands-on exhibits about weather, optical illusions, insects, and more, making learning fun for everyone. The Louis J. Roussel, Jr. Planetarium & MegaDome Cinema, provides the experience of a Laser Light Show and Planetarium Sky Show. Shows run on the hour.
