Family Gras Rules & Safety

 

February 18-20, 2022

Family Gras will return to its original location at Mardi Gras Plaza, in the 3300 block of Veterans Memorial Boulevard across from Lakeside Shopping Center for the 2022 carnival season. 

 

For your fun and safety, please refer to the list below for what is/is not allowed on festival grounds. Please note, there will be a metal detector and bag check to enter festival grounds.

ALLOWED:

  • Single, collapsible chairs
  • Blankets & ground tarps
  • Wheelchairs, medical scooters
  • Strollers for children
  • Wagons or pull-carts
  • Hand-held personal-sized umbrellas
  • Small Bags & Backpacks 12x12
  • 12x12 EMPTY Soft Ice Chests/Coolers*

NOT ALLOWED:

  • Hard-side Ice Chests/Coolers
  • Outside food or drinks of any kind
  • Ladders
  • Personalized tents, shade canopies
  • No other shelters/shacks/sport-umbrellas
  • No Skateboards
  • No glass
  • No pets
  • No video and audio recording equipment
  • Unauthorized vending or solicitation
  • Weapons, illicit drugs, and other contraband
  • No Bicycles*

*Bike racks will be available on site
*Cooler exceptions will be made for medicine or child necessities

Family Gras is handicap accessible. However, there is not a handicap section on the grounds.
