Kenner, LA. – Kenner has been ranked the No. 11 most diverse small city in the United States, according to a survey conducted by the WalletHub website.

The website compared 12 separate categories, including social class diversity, educational diversity, racial and ethnic diversity and economic diversity. Separate rankings were calculated for large cities with more than 300,000 residents, mid-sized cities with 100,000 to 300,000 residents and small cities, with fewer than 100,000 residents.

In addition to its standing among small cities, Kenner was listed No. 26 among all cities, regardless of population. Bossier City was the next highest ranked Louisiana city on the overall list, coming in at No. 61.

Elsewhere in the state, Baton Rouge was ranked at 117 overall, followed by Lake Charles at 138, Shreveport at 158 and Metairie at 184.
“We are very proud of the diversity of our city,” Acting Mayor Michael Sigur said. “Kenner has the largest Hispanic population in the metropolitan area and our diversity is helping to attract new businesses and young families to come to the city.”
