Grand Isle State Park offers 1 mile of beach with great local fishing; including the last wild beach in Louisiana! 

Their pier is the only pier in Louisiana that extends into the Gulf, a 900-foot long public fishing pier with a nearby fish-cleaning station. State officials say that over 280 species of fish are known to live in the waters around this sandy spur.

The camping area features 49 campsites with nearby bathhouse with running water and an adjacent dump station. There are 3 miles of hiking trails with prime birdwatching! Tent camping is available on the beach.

Day use Admission: $3 per person, free for 62 or over and 3 or younger. A Louisiana State Parks Annual Pass is $80 per year and entitles the pass holder and any passengers with a seatbelt in the vehicle with them to free day use admission.

Overnight camping: If booking on Friday or Saturday, there is a 2 night minimum for either type of site.
Unimproved Camping (on beach with tent): $18/night.
Premium Camping (20, 30, and 50 amp service and water hookup at each site): $33/night year-round Friday & Saturday Nights. Sun-Thurs April-Sept $30.night; Sun-Thurs Oct-Mar $25/night.

Advanced reservations can be made up to 13 months prior to arrival date, and can be made up to 24 hours in advance. There are no same day reservations, but we can accept walk-ins at the park if there is space available.

Fishing is allowed at the lagoon, pond, gulf pier, and in the surf, but a valid Louisiana fishing license is required. Crabbing is allowed, but traps should be tagged per LDWF regulations.
