Que Pasa Fest

Que Pasa Fest was born from a simple yet powerful vision: to bring people together to celebrate and honor Hispanic Heritage Month through music, food, dance, and community spirit.

The event, produced by the Cervantes Fundación Hispanoamericana de Arte, has become a pillar of cultural unity and pride, with its mission to be the largest celebration of Hispanic heritage and culture in the state of Louisiana.

The 2026 Que Pasa Fest is October 10-11, 2026 from 11am - 9pm.

Lafreniere Park | 3000 Downs Boulevard, Metairie, LA

Admission

Free from 11am–5pm. After 5pm, admission is $5. Children are always free.

Know Before You Go

Foldable chairs, strollers, and leashed pets are welcome. Coolers and outside food or drinks are not permitted.

About Que Pasa Fest

The Cervantes Fundación Hispanoamericana de Arte was founded in 1982 by the late Dr. Guillermo de Bango as a nonprofit dedicated to promoting Hispanic and Latino arts and cultural traditions. Building on that mission, the foundation launched Que Pasa Fest in 2011 to celebrate Hispanic Heritage Month through music, food, dance, and community. What began as a gathering of about 1,000 attendees has since grown into one of Louisiana's premier Hispanic cultural celebrations, drawing more than 16,000 people each year.

La Quinceañera

This year, Que Pasa Fest turns 15 and the festival is celebrating in style with "La Quinceañera." The milestone adds another layer of meaning to an event that has become one of Louisiana's most recognized Hispanic cultural celebrations since its founding in 2011. By honoring the contributions of the Latino community, Que Pasa Fest reflects how the convergence of many cultures has shaped Jefferson Parish's history. This year's festival invites guests to enjoy signature moments inspired by traditional quinceañera celebrations, including enhanced cultural programming and unique sponsorships.

Que Pasa Fest features performances from both local and international artists, with past lineups including Grammy winners and celebrated Latin musicians such as Luis Enrique, Los Van Van, James Andrews, and Rockin' Dopsie Jr. Each year's stage brings together acts that reflect the depth and variety of Hispanic culture, connecting festivalgoers with music and art that carry both tradition and modern influence.
