St. Patrick Parade of Jefferson

Founded in 1971, the St. Patrick Parade of Jefferson has been taking to the streets of Old Metairie for over fifty years in celebration of St. Patrick’s Day. Enjoy over 100 floats, trucks, bands, marching clubs, and tons of throws at this classic Jefferson Parish event.

Louisiana Irish-Italian Parade

Sunday, March 22, 2026 | 12pm
Starting Location: Veterans Memorial Blvd and Houma Blvd

Since 1983, the Louisiana Irish-Italian Parade has brought together hundreds of thousands of spectators each year along Veterans Memorial Boulevard in Metairie, celebrating both cultures in South Louisiana. The parade is always on the Sunday after St. Patrick's Day, bringing the city's full week of celebrations to a joyful close.
