JEFFERSON PARISH -- Parish Councilman Ricky Templet, Gretna Mayor Belinda Constant, Gretna District 4 Councilman Jackie Berthelot, Gretna Councilman At-Large, Wayne Rau and the Jefferson Parish Library Department are celebrating the completion of the Gretna Library Centennial Park.  The ribbon cutting ceremony will take place on Thursday, January 5th at 3:00 pm across from the Gretna Library located at 101 Willow Drive in Gretna.
 
This new beautiful, gated park includes a pavilion, landscaping, a small walking path and a fountain.  
 
Councilman Ricky Templet stated “It brings me great pleasure to announce the completion of the Gretna Library Centennial Park.   As we continue to work on beautifying our Parish, I look forward to seeing this Centennial Park provide a safe, serene and beautiful space for families.”
 
The local Dairy Queen restaurant will be handing out tokens to all children present for a complimentary ice cream.
  
Designed by Burgdahl & Graves Architects and work performed by Pete Vicari General Contractors at a cost of $731,035.  This project was funded by Council District 1, Jefferson Parish Library and the City of Gretna.
