Redfish Release and Solo Open Fishing Tournament

ELITE FISHING PROS AND COMMUNITY~ STOCK UP
The first annual Elite Redfish Release Open for the 2025 Elite Fishing Series Solo Tour season will be at Gator Town USA located at Segnette Landing in Westwego, LA August 1-2.

The #RedfishReleaseOpen will be another first for the series and its anglers. As the title shows this will be an Open event for the pros of the Elite Fishing Series as well as any local anglers that like to compete solo, no teams, no draw partners, mano y mano as we like to call it.

This activity packed week will include the anglers taking part in:

The release of 10,000 fingerling redfish from Southern Mississippi University fish hatchery and it’s Ocean Springs facility.
- A fun 1/2 day community Pro-Am on the anglers final day of practice.
- A great captain’s meeting and dinner.
- 2 days of competition with exciting live weigh ins.
- Live music, great food, swamp tours and more.

The #RedfishReleaseOpen will have traveling pros and locals alike fishing this fun and exciting format weighing in their limits of big beautiful Louisiana Redfish after taking part in the exciting stocking of 10,000 plus fingerling redfish earlier in the week. It’s going to be great to host this event in one of the most fish and food friendly communities anywhere on the Gulf Coast and we can’t wait to get there. Due to limited space for the Elite Stage set up, parking and the public this event will be limited to the first 25 to reserve their spot.
