3rd Annual Carnival Kickoff in Jefferson Parish
Celebrate Jefferson Parish Carnival on King's Day, January 6th, 2018 at Mardi Gras Plaza in Metairie at 2PM!
Master of Ceremonies Arthur Hardy, creator of The Mardi Gras Guide, will introduce Carnival Royalty, followed by a royal toast. We encourage you to bring chairs and blankets to enjoy a full afternoon of festivities, live music, and family fun.
Musical entertainment by Big Sam’s Funky Nation and the Grace King High School March Band. Beer, soft drinks, and food truck vendors will be onsite with king cake by Maurice French Pastries. Enjoy balloon sculptures by Cookie the Clown and caricatures by Uncle Wayne of the Porta-Puppet Players. Meet the New Orleans Baby Cakes’ mascots, and while onsite sign up to participate in New Orleans Track Club’s second annual Mardi Gras 5K Race scheduled for Family Gras Saturday, February 3, 2018.
