“We invite everyone to come down for a visit to the Grand Isle Blessing of the Fleet Festival and Ceremony,” said Town of Grand Isle Mayor David Camardelle. “This event brings together our island community and friends from across the state and parish to celebrate our shrimping and fishing heritage.”
Activities include: blessing of the fleet, rides, food and drink booths, music and carnival games.

4pm ~ Opening ceremonies (prayer) under Pavilion and fair opens with Dj Capt P playing until band starts, also introduction of Admiral and queen and all pageant winners

Blessing of the Fleet information- All boats are welcome to attend (Shrimp boats, fishing boats, pontoon boats, yachts, houseboats etc.) but we ask that you register beforehand to get a blessed plaque so that you can participate.
The fair will be selling Weekend bracelets for $45.00 or $20.00 per day bracelets, and also individual Tickets! Plenty of Cajun Food, soft drinks and alcohol booths also sweets, crackling & crafts all weekend long!
The Grand Isle Tarpon Rodeo Pavilion is located at the end of Tarpon Rodeo Drive next to the Sand Dollar Marina, which is located at 158 Sandollar Ct, Grand Isle. The fair opens on Friday, April 13, at 5 p.m. and closes Sunday, April 15, at 6 p.m. The Blessing of the Fleet will take place on Saturday from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. at the A-Port Dock, at 103 Caminada Drive, Grand Isle, near the Grand Isle Tarpon Rodeo Pavilion and the Sand Dollar Marina.
